Unsung Heroes 2020

Nominate Your Local Key Worker

Call for Key Workers Nomination

This year’s Unsung Heroes’ Awards will take on a special meaning due to the harsh impact of the coronavirus. Thousands of families across the Wakefield District have had to rely on services provided by local Unsung Heroes and Key Workers.

“The collective response from Wakefield’s volunteers and Key Workers alike has been nothing short of amazing, and I’m sure that you will agree that their service deserves recognition.”
Murray Edwards, Foundation Director

The Community Foundation for Wakefield District would like to invite you to nominate a local key worker for this year’s “Virtual” Unsung Heroes Awards. We are looking for key workers who have helped families and the elderly pull through the coronavirus crisis by continuing to work through the pandemic in hospitals, care homes, education, transport, shops, broadcasting, benefits offices, policing and postal services.
